Project Overview
Albertson’s is focused on building a best-in-class fulfillment technology platform to provide the most convenient online grocery shopping experience centered around building the next generation of order management system, robotic order fulfillment systems for Micro fulfillment centers(MFCs) powered by AI and re-imagined order picking systems from store shelves.

Faced with the immediate surge in online grocery fulfillment since the COVID-19 pandemic began, they faced an immediate need to expand their Product team to identify how to define the product roadmap and strategy for Demand Planning and Slot Automation products to adjust to the changes in their customer base and field teams.

In my role as a Senior Product Manager on the Demand planning and Slot Automation team I  built requirements and a roadmap for defining, development, implementation, piloting and rollout of features and initiatives that impacted Albertson's E-commerce Fulfillment Pillar including slot (order) forecasting,VIP slot capacity, dynamic adjustments, slot management tools and process automation.

My Responsibilities
- Led a cross-functional team of engineers, designers and data analysts to build and scale products and process enhancements that make the most impact for order fulfillment within each store and it’s customers

- Leveraged user research and data analysis to identify and prioritize new product opportunities for the roadmap

- Developed supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts and sell the concepts to internal audiences 

- Responsible for communicating product solutions and benefits to customers and stakeholders; including knowledge transfer and training for on-going management of features

- Built intelligent capability and feature roadmaps using research, data, business context and learnings as input

Results 
- Recently launched, the demand planning automation project will save over 1 million hours of manual scheduling and labor adjustments across the nation per year

- The Slot Override tool we implemented has expanded the ability to allow Slots to be overridden in the field rather than bottlenecked at the corporate level increasing adjustment speed by over 75%
